Titus 2 is still sleeping through the night. Hooray! Our latest challenge is feeding vs. self-feeding. Messy stuff!

I promise that I will post a full update in T2's blog someday soon. In the meantime, here is my son enjoying a ride in a snappy blue wagon generously handed down from his 6-year-old cousins.

This month T2 has had a cold, toothaches, bronchitis, a rash and hives. He is all better now.

Also this month, he has uttered the words, "Bye bye, Daddy," while waving as T1 left for work in the morning. Today he said "baby" and tried to say his name, though he is far from mastering it. He can stand up on his own for a few seconds and can take a step or two sometimes before falling. He can shake his head back and forth to say "no."

T2 now weighs 23 pounds and is about 31 inches tall. He has three tiny new teeth and is beginning to eat table food. He is taller than our dining table, but he squats so that he can still play beneath it. He pushes wrought iron dining chairs around the room like it's no sweat off his brow. He pushes them completely over too.

What a month for my big baby boy!

I hate to toot my own horn, but hey I'll do it anyway!

Last weekend, I bowled a 210 game. That's right, 2-1-0.

To get that score, I threw eight strikes. Count them, E-I-G-H-T.

Also, I got my very first turkey! (That's three strikes in a row, for you non-bowlers out there.) And I got a second one as well!

Yeah, I rock it out. I do.

We've been a bunch of sickies over here at my house during this holiday season. Big T got a cold a few days before Christmas. Little T started getting sick on Christmas Day. My immune system held out until Sunday, but now I am quite the snotty one. Oh joy!

I was a bit troubled to see Little T under the weather. He dodged the bullet for an entire year, but it was high time for him to fight off his first illness. He had a slight fever on Friday night and Saturday morning and he cried so hard and couldn't sleep and couldn't eat much, the poor baby. It was a tense time for Mommy and Daddy, but we made it though. Little T is feeling much better now, gettting enough sleep and eating like normal again.

Anyway, I want to wish a happy 2009 to all my friends.

My baby boy's first birthday is less than a week away. He's gotten so big this year! It's hard to believe he was a tiny preemie confined to the hospital for the first six weeks of his life. I am so thankful that my son is as healthy as a horse and a very happy child. I am a very proud mama.

It's has finally happened. The baby is self-propelled. He is crawling all over the house and getting into all sorts of messes. I am about to lose my mind what with all the foreseeable head injuries and other forms of bodily harm. T2 has been trying to chase Frankie and occasionally pulls chunks of hair out of his tail. On a related note, Frankie is driving me crazy with his loud whining and scratching furniture in the wee hours of the morning. I am so tempted to throw him out. Anyone want a cat?

Today is the very first Mother's Day where I am a mother! My son (and husband) saw fit to send me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers replete with ultra fragrant lilies and roses on Friday afternoon, and he woke me up this morning with a card proclaiming that "Mommy is a star!" What a little sweetheart! And his papa ain't so bad either. ;-)
